Gentle reminder! We will have our first quarter honors ceremony tomorrow. The doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and we will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
We kindly ask all parents to remain seated until all students have received their award. We also ask that all parents wait until their students have exited the gym. You may meet them outside to take photos with them.

Gentle reminder! Tomorrow is Parenting Day for all parents and Donuts with Dr. P for 3rd grade parents only. You will learn pertinent information to continue to help your student succeed. You will also be able to sign up for a parent/teacher conference and pick up first quarter report cards.
We kindly ask that you do not go to your students classroom to help keep classroom interruptions to a minimum.
Please use the blacktop in front of the playground and the grassy field behind the playground for parking. We will see you tomorrow!!

We will have a Trunk or Treat on October 31, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. We would love for our parents to come out to support. Parents can secure a parking spot for $15 to decorate their trunk and allow students to trick or treat in the parking lot walking from trunk to trunk. Decorations must be age appropriate to PreK-5th grade students.

Good afternoon parents and guardians,
Due to consistent behavior issues that have been so severe it’s caused safety concerns for students, we are suspending Kona Ice, Jean Friday, and Tiger Tuesday for second quarter. We have implemented Capturing Kids’ Hearts, but it is evident that we need more time to focus on self-management without the distraction of extracurricular activities like Kona Ice, Jean Friday, and Tiger Tuesday.
Burroughs has the potential to be the very best. Overall student behavior and academics has not shown evidence of that. We need to remind our students who they are, #BurroughsBest, and your best. Please contact Dr. Patterson if you have questions or concerns. Thank you.
Gentle reminder! The Breast Cancer t-shirt order will end tomorrow, October 15, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. No orders will be accepted after that time to ensure shirts arrive at the school on time. Thank you for your cooperation!
