Good afternoon parents and guardians, Due to consistent behavior issues that have been so severe it’s caused safety concerns for students, we are suspending Kona Ice, Jean Friday, and Tiger Tuesday for second quarter. We have implemented Capturing Kids’ Hearts, but it is evident that we need more time to focus on self-management without the distraction of extracurricular activities like Kona Ice, Jean Friday, and Tiger Tuesday. Burroughs has the potential to be the very best. Overall student behavior and academics has not shown evidence of that. We need to remind our students who they are, #BurroughsBest, and your best.
